Pooja's mother's age = 4 x Pooja's age
PM = 4(P)
After 5 years Pooja's mother's age is 3 x Pooja's age
PM + 5 = 3(P + 5)
Replace PM on left with 4P from first equation.
4P + 5 = 3P + 15
collect like terms
4P - 3P = 15 - 5
P = 10
Pooja's Mother is 40 years old
Pooja's age is 10 years old.
