leave the first equation as is and simply rearrange the terms of the second equation. You can now tell that the second equation is just the first equation times -3 which means there are infinitely many solutions
-2x-4y=1
6x+12y=-3

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Identify the solution(s) of the system of equations, if any
-2x-4y=1
12y=-6x-3
======
Put in slope-intercept form:
y = (-1/2)x - (1/4)
y = (-1/2)x - (1/4)
-----
The system is dependent.
Solution: All points of the form (x,-(1/2)x-(1/4)), where x is
a Real Number.
