+6n+%2B+12+-+n+=+24+ <--- use distributive property to get rid of parentheses.

+5n+%2B+12+=+24+ <---- combine like terms by subtraction.

+5n+=+12+ <---- subtract 12 from both sides so that the 5n term will be alone

+n+=+12%2F5+ <---- divide both sides by 5 to finally isolate the n from everything else.
