You can put this solution on YOUR website! I do not understand this question its confusing, how do i start to solve this can u please help me. A line with a slope of -(1/2) crosses the X-axis at the point (4,0). At what point does it cross the Y-axis?
***
Equation of a line: y=mx+b, m=slope, b=y-intercept(point at which line crosses y-axis)
Equation of given line:
y=-x/2+b
solve for b using coordinates of given point (4,0) on the line.
0=-4/2+b
b=2
point at which line crosses y-axis: (0,2)
