You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5 men use 10 days.
1 man uses 2 days.
2 men use 4 days.
10-4-4=2
2+4=6

A piece of work can be done by 5 men in 10 days. After 4 days, 3 men were transferred to another job. how many more
days will the remaining men finish the job?

What the other person has for an answer makes absolutely NO SENSE. How can it take 2 men, just 6 days to complete a job that
a group of 5 men, who normally take 10 days to complete the job, worked for 4 days, and then left the 2 men to complete?

5-MAN rate: 1%2F10
1-MAN rate: 1%2F%285%29%2810%29+=+1%2F50
2-MAN rate: 2%281%2F50%29+=+2%2F50+=+1%2F25

Formula: (Time 1 * rate 1) + Time 2 * rate 2) = 1 (entire job)
                               4%281%2F10%29+%2B+T%281%2F25%29+=+1
                                       2%2F5+%2B+T%2F25+=+1
                                      10 + T = 25 ---- Multiplying by LCD, 25

Time taken for remaining 2 men to complete job, or T = 25 - 10 = 15 days

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
r, the work rate of 1 man
For 5 men working 10 days to do 1 "piece of work"
5r%2A10=1
or
r=1%2F50

Five men worked for 4 days and then 2 men worked for some x days to finish.

A piece of work can be done by 5 men in 10 days. After 4 days, 3 men were transferred to another job.
how many more days will the remaining men finish the job?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        I will show another way to solve, using different method.
        Its advantage is that the fractions or equations are not used.
The total job is 5 men * 10 days = 50 man-days.
In the first 4 days, 5 men used 5*4 = 20 man-days;  50 - 20 = 30 man-days work remained.
Now only 5 - 3 = 2 men work.  They need 30/2 = 15 days to complete the remaining job.
So, the remaining 2 men will finish the rest of the job in 15 days.    <<<---===  ANSWER
Solved completely, using mental reasoning instead equations and/or fractions.
