Question 773280: The problem is:
If I am sharing expenses on a trip with my friend and I spend $14,000.00 and she spends $5,900.00 how much does she owe me?
Do I subtract 5900.00 from 14,000.00 or do I follow that same process and then divide by two?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you both spend in total 5900%2B14000=19900$
Hence 19900%2F2=9950$ per person
She owes you 9950-5900=4050$
But your way is correct as well
