Question 773092: Hi
I have a solution book for the odd problems of my text. I don't know how the following step was achieved
I am good to
1= sin(344pi/365 - Phi)
Then the text gets sin off the right hand side and the problem is reduced to
Pi/2 = 344pi/365 - phi
How was the sin removed and the 1 on the left hand side of the equation changed into pi/2
Thanks for your help

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Hi there,
The reason the 1 disappeared from the left
hand side, to be replaced by Pi/2
and the sin disappeared from the
right hand side was that sin^-1
was applied to both sides.
Converting 1 => Pi/2
sin^-1 (1) = Pi/2.
Hope this helps.
