Use the quadratic form of completing the square to find the vertex of...
f(x) = 2x^2 -4x + 5
Factor out 2.. f (x) = 2(x^2-2x + 5/2)
2(x^2-2x + 1 -1 + 5/2
2(x^2 - 2x + 1 + 3/2)
2([x-1]^2 + 3/2)
f(x) = 2(x-1)^2 +3
Vertex: (1,3)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You did this perfectly. To check your work we can always graph these 2 equations. If you did everything right, then the 2 graphs should overlap each other
+graph%28+300%2C+200%2C+-6%2C+5%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+2x%5E2+-4x+%2B+5%29+ graph of y=2x%5E2+-4x+%2B+5
+graph%28+300%2C+200%2C+-6%2C+5%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+2%28x-1%29%5E2+%2B3%29+ graph of y=2%28x-1%29%5E2+%2B3
We can see that they are the same graph, so the answer is verified.
