3x - 2y = -22

x + 4y = 2
x = 2 - 4y
Substitute into
3x - 2y = -22
3(2 - 4y) - 2y = -22
6 - 12y - 2y = -22
-14y = - 22 - 6
- 14y = -28
y = 2
Substitute y = 2
into:
x + 4y = 2
x + 4(2) = 2
x = 2 - 8
x = -6
x = -6,y = 2
