Question 772073: -x+2y=11
3x-2y=-13
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! -x + 2y = 11.....1
3x - 2y = -13....2
Multiply (1) by 3
-3x + 6y = 33....3
3x - 2y = -13....2
Add (3) + (2)
4y = 20
y = 5
Substitute y = 5
into (2)
3x - 2y = -13...2
3x -2(5) = -13
3x - 10 = -13
3x = -13 + 10
3x = -3
x = -1
x = -1, y = 5.
Hope this helps.
