Let x = width of the rectangle
Area = 24x = 12^2 = 144
x = 144/24 = 6

The area of a square that is 12m on a side
equals 144m^2
Area of a rectangle = length * width
144 = 24 * width
Width = 144/24
Width = 6m
Dimensions of rectangle:
Length 24m
Width 6m
