You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3 things cost rs. 100.. 2nd one is the half of first. 3rd one is the half of 2nd.. how much cost of the total three???
Ans:
Cost of the total 3 is already given to be 100!
I assume you are asking for the cost of each item.
Let the first item cost x
Then the 2nd costs x/2
And the 3rd costs (x/2)/2 (i.e. half of the second) = x/4
Sum = x+%2B+x%2F2+%2B+x%2F4+=+100
Multiplying by 4 to remove the fractional part
4%2Ax+%2B+2%2Ax+%2B+x+=+400
7%2Ax+=+400
x+=+400%2F7 approx Rs. 57.14 which is the cost of the 1st item
Second item = 200/7 = 28.57 approx
Third item = 100/7 = 14.28 approx
