You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(6*10^9)(8.79*10^5)=(6*8.79)(10^9*10^5)=52.74(10^14)=5.274(10^15)L.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x=amount of freshwater on earth
Lets first look at a more simple version of the problem:
If there are 10 people on Earth and there is enough freshwater to provide each person with 2 L, how much freshwater is on the Earth?

Our equation to solve is the amount of water per person times the number of people=the amount of fresh water on earth:
%286%2A10%5E9%29%288.79%2A10%5E5%29=x remember, when you multiply exponents you add them
%28%286%29%288.79%29%29%2A10%5E14=x
52.74%2A10%5E14=x or
5.274%2A10%5E15=x-----------------------# of liters of fresh water on earth

Hope this helps------ptaylor
