first simplify problem
since - and - is + then:
1/2-(-11/6)-(-5/6)==> 1/2+11/6+5/6
add the common denominator fractions together:
1/2+16/6
since they do not have common denominator make to common denominator:
(1/2)*(3/3)+16/6
3/6+16/6
simplify:
19/6
ANSWER:19/6 or 3 and1/6
