You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How many gallons of a 13%-salt solution must be mixed with 6 gallons of a 24%-salt solution to obtain a 16%-salt solution?
-------
Equation:
salt + salt = salt
0.24*6 + 0.13x = 0.16*(6+x)
----------
24*6 + 13x = 16*6 + 16x
3x = 8*6
x = 16 gallons (amt. of 13% solution needed)
