Question 76969: I am trying to find the solution for s in the following equation:
D= c-s/n
I know I am supposed to multiply both sides to clear the quation of fractions. I am not sure how to do that with letters. I believe the answer is s=nd+c but don't know how to show my work. Can you help please? Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! find the solution for s in the following equation:
Assume you mean:
D = (c-s)/n
:
multiply both sides by n and you have:
nD = c - s
:
Add s to both sides and you have:
nD + s = c
:
Subtract nD from both sides:
s = c - nD
