Question 769346: If the width of a rectangle is 4 cm more than one-half of its length and its perimeter is 50 cm. What are the dimensions of the rectangle? Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Length = x
Width = 4 + x/2
Perimeter = 2*length + 2*width
50 = 2(x) + 2(4 + x/2)
50 = 2x + 8 + x
3x = 42
x = 14cm
Length = 14cm
Width = 11cm.
Hope this helps.
