Since you drive an average of 50 miles per hour, 50 times the time driven, or 50t, represents the total number of miles driven (distance = rate * time). We know that this distance is 75 miles, so we can say that
50t = 75
Solving for t, we get
t = 75/50
t = 3/2
Therefore, it takes 1.5 hours to reach the job site.
