Question 769229: The time it takes you to get to work varies inversely as your driving speed. Averaging 20 miles per hour in bad traffic, it takes you 1.5 hours to get to work. How long would the commute take averaging 50 miles per hour?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Get to Work = W
Driving Speed = S
W = k/S
k = constant of proportionality
To find 'k'
W = k/S
1.5 = k/20mph
k = 1.5 * 20
k = 30
Formula:
W = 30/S
W = 30/50
W = 0.6 hour
W = 36 minutes
Hope this helps.
