Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity
i.e. Acceleration = (Final speed - initial speed) / time taken to change the speed
Final speed = 9 m/s
Inital speed = 5 m/s
Time = 20 sec
Apply to the formula. Remember that the unit of acceleration is m/s^2 (meters per second squared)
Acceleration = (9-5)/20 = 4/20 = 0.2 m/s^2
