Maybe I'm complicating this but it's 2^5 that is 32, so then would it be x-1=5, x=6??? That's the best I can come up with....

Solve the following exponential equation:
2^4=32^x-1

If the exponent is x-1,
then
2%5E4=32%5E%28x-1%29
2%5E4=2%5E%285%2A%28x-1%29%29
4 = 5(x-1)
etc
