You can put this solution on YOUR website! A MORE DIRECT WAY TO FIND THE % IS TO DIVIDE THE SELECTED POPULATION BY THE TOTAL POPULATION. THUS:
359,162/547,318=.656 OR 65.6% OF THE POPULATION WAS BETWEEN15-64 IN 1950.
