Arrange in order:
1.6 1.7 1.8 2.1 ?
If the median is the same as the mean and the mode
the missing number must be 1.8
As this would make the mode = 1.8 (2 1.8's)
The median would be 1.8 at the centre.
And the Total of all the numbers adding in 1.8
= 9. 9/5 = 1.8

sorted: 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 2.1
Mean = (A+7.2)/5
the middle choices are 1.7 and 1.8. Test 1.7:

A=5*1.7-7.2= 1.3 (no because this value leaves us without a mode)

Testing 1.8:

A=5*1.8-7.2= 1.8
A=1.8
