You have some value for t and you want to increase it by 50%, or multiply by 3/2. Now, if t+=+1%2Fk, then 3t%2F2+=+3%2F2k by multiplying both sides by 3/2. Now we only have to rewrite the right side to 1/{something}. 3%2F2k=1%2F%282k%2F3%29, so we have to multiply k by 2/3. In other words, we have to decrease k by 33.3%.
