Question 767012: please help!
Find all the zeros and state any multiplicity.
k(x)=x^3-7x^2-3x+21
I understand that i have to use synthethic division but i really don't know where to start. If you could explain the steps i could use this example to finish my homewor. THanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Start with Rational Roots theorem. Possible roots to try are with numerators of plus or minus 1, 3, 7. Use synthetic division, or if you don't know it yet, use regular polynomial division. You are looking for binomial factors which have plus or minus 1, 3, or 7 in their numerators.
Divisors to try are:
(x-1)
(x+1)
(x-3)
x+3
x-7
x+7
