Let's call the length of the long piece in meters x.

Then the length of the shorter piece must be 75-x. We know that x is 11 more than 75-x. So
x-11=75-x
Add x on both sides:
2x-11=75
And so
2x=86
So
x=43
So our pieces are 43m and 32m long respectively.
