Question 765933: What is the formula for finding the capacity in litres of a bucket 24cm in diameter at the top, 16cm in diameter at the bottom and

I know a bucket has got a cylinderical shape but a cylinder always has an equal radii. I've tried using the formula for finding the volume of a cylinder but that won't work cause I've got two diameters/radii. Thanks Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Using the equation for a frustum
Volume = Pi* h/3 * (R^2 + Rr + r^2)
R = large radius
r = small radius
h = height
Volume = Pi*20/3 * (24^2 + 24*16 + 16^2)
Volume = 25467.8cm^3
Hope this helps.
