Total matches played=35
let the number of matches won =x
so,
the number of matches lost=x+15
matches won + matches lost = 35
i.e. x+(x+15)= 35
2x+15=35
2x=35-15=20
x=20/2 = 10

Therefore total matches won=10
matches lost=10+15=25
