Question 76442: I asked this question before and turned it into my teacher but he said it was wrong...so what is wrong with it?
You would take the (whole sale price) + (40% of whole sale price) = retail price
Whole sale price is $75.00 + ($75.00 x 40%) =retail price
$75.00 + .40 (you get .40 because you have to move the decimal 2 places)
now take .40 x 75 = 30
75+30 add them together and you get
$105 retail price = answer
