How many hours did Grace work? From 7 am to 6:30 p.m. which is 11 hours and 30 min or 11.5 hours
For the 1st 8 hours, she gets paid $13 per hour, which is 13*8 = $104
Extra hours (over 8) that she worked = 11.5 - 8 = 3.5
For the extra hours she gets time and a half which means she gets 1.5 times her regular wages. i.e. for every hour she gets 13* 1.5 = $19.5
So the extra money made for 3.5 hours = 3.5 * 19.5 = $68.25
So totally she earns 104+%2B+68.25+=+172.25
Correct answer is $172.25
