You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The numerator of a fraction is 6 less than its denominator.
so if denominator=x then numerator=x-6 so the fraction =(x-6)/x
If the numerator is reduced by 2 and the denominator is increased by 3, the fraction becomes 3/14.
so [(x-6)-2]/x+3=3/14
or [x-8]*14=[x+3]*3
or 14x-112=3x+9
or 11x=9+112=121
or x=11=denominator
so numerator=11-6=5
so the original fraction=5/11
