You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-2x - 4y = 4
Divide each side by 2
-2x/2 = -1x
-4y/2 = -2y
4/2 = 2
Therefore we now have:
-1x - 2y = 2
Add +1x to each side of the equation.
-1x - 2y + 1x = 2 + 1x
Combine like terms:
-1x + 1x = 0
-2y = 2 + 1x
Divide each term by -1
-2y/-1 = 2y
2/-1 = -2
1x/-1 = -1x
Therefore:
2y = -2 - 1x
Divide each side by 2
2y/2 = y
-2/2 = -1
-1x/2 = -1x/2
Slope intercept form:
y = mx + b

Answer:
y = -1x/2 - 1
