What is the rate for ONE man to do the job? How many days for 1 man?

One man needs 4 times longer than 4 men.
14%2A4=56 days for 1 man to do the job, so rate is 1%2F56 jobs per day.

Seven men? The rate of each man in the group may be assumed additive for the rate of the group of 7 men.
Seven men rate of work is 7%281%2F56%29=1%2F8 jobs per day, or as the reciprocal, 8 days to do the job.

we are given that a certain job is done in 14 days by 4 men, then 1 man takes 4*14 or 56 days.....so
1 man takes 56 days
2 men take 28 days
7 men take 56/7 or 8 days
