Question 762532: if john has 42 employees and 3/8 are women, how many more women must john hire so that he has half women and half men? I want to see all the work in solving it Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
Not possible. 3/8 of 42 is 15.75. 3/4 of a woman as an employee is a supremely ludicrous idea on its face, but then that implies that not only must you have 26.25 men (unfortunate accident, perhaps?), but he would have to hire 10.5 women to acheive equality. Either your instructor is a bonehead, or you are a clumsy typist.
