1) All equations have an equal sign
2) Is 2x2 – 2x – 24 supposed to be 2x^2 – 2x – 24
Anyway, here's one way to simplify this expression:
2(x^2 – x – 12)
Now we can factor this:
2(x-4)(x+3)
There we go.
