Question 761917: Please help me in this problem (applications in linear equations)
The bermuda triangle supposedly causes trouble for aircraft pilots.It has a perimeter of 3075 mi .The shortest side measures 75 mi less than themiddle side , and the longest side measures 375 mi more than the middle side . Find thelengths of the three sides. Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Middle side = x
Shortest side = x - 75
Longest side = x + 375
x +(x - 75) + (x + 375) = 3075 miles
3x + 300 = 3075
3x = 2775
x = 925 miles.
Middle side = 925 miles
Shortest side = 850 miles
Longest side = 1300 miles
Total = 3075 miles.
Hope this helps.
