You can put this solution on YOUR website! x+y = -7.
Writing it in the slope-intercept form y = mx + c, where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept,
y = -x -7.
So, m = -1, y intercept = -7.

x + y = -7
Subtract x from each side of the equation:
x + y - x = -7 - x
Combine like terms:
x - x = 0
-7 - 1x = -1x - 7
Slope intercept form:
y = mx + b
Therefore:
y = -1x - 7

y-intercept of the line is -7
