y = $2 coins
x + y = 180 ......1
x + 2y = 325......2
Subtract (1) from (2)
y = 145
Substitute y = 145 into Eq (1)
x + y = 180
x + 145 = 180
x = 180 - 145
x = 35.
So, Emily has 35 $1 coins and 145 $2 coins.
