You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the answers are
a) 155
b) 20
c) 190
i will try to explain how.
draw a rectangle and put 800 on the top
draw a circle by itself to represent the people who did not need any qualifications for their job. now draw three interlocking circles. one of these label experience, one degree and and one practicle experience. place 30 in the central sector that is part of all three circles. fill in 70 between the degree and experience circles, 110 in the experience circle and 185 in the degree circle. n ow you know the the total people in the experince cicrle is 230, w already know where 110, 70 and 30 of these are placed in the diagram, this leaves us 20 unallocated, so this must be in the experince and training section. use the same logic to find the 40 people in the degree and training section. now you can work out the people in just the training circle (and not in any circles that overlap into it). this will be 245 - 20 - 40 and -30, to get 155. you now have all sections filled in on these three interlocked circles. add them up and take the total away from 800 to get 190. these are the people who did not need any qualifications
