Question 759543: please help me solve this equation 2^x+3=3^x-4
tried: 2^x+3=3^x-4
Log 2^x+3= Log3^x-4
x+3 Log2= x-4 Log3
??? Log3/Log 2 Answer by malglu(63) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! keep it up, you're almost there!
(x+3) log 2 = (x-4) log 3
x log 2 + 3 log 2 = x log 3 -4 log 3
x log 2 + log 2^3 = x log 3 - log 3^4
x log 2 + log 8 = x log 3 - log 81
log 8 + log 81 = x log 3 - x log 2
log (8*81) = x (log 3 - log 2)
log (648) = x log 3/2
log 648 all divided by log 3/2 = x
do that on your calculator
x= 15.966
