Question 759429: Two sides of a pentagon have a length of (7x-3) and three sides have a length of (2x+2). If the perimeter is 60 what is the length of the shortest side ? Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 2(7x - 3) + 3(2x + 2)= 60
14x - 6 + 6x + 6 = 60
20x = 60
x = 3
Side 7x - 3 = 18
Side 2x + 2 = 8 (The shortest)
Hope this helps.
