Question 75922: I have a problem with changing this->->y=4x-11 to standard form. There are others, but If I can figure out how to do this, I'll be able to finish my homework. Here's another one that could also help->-> y=-x/3+2/3 Stupid standard form... (this is from a worksheet I got)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The standard form is: ax + by = c
y = 4x-11 Add 11 to both sides.
y+11 = 4x Now subtract y from both sides.
11 = 4x+y Rewrite as:
4x+y = 11 This is now in standard form.
y+=+-x%2F3+%2B+2%2F3 Multiply everything by 3 to clear the fractions.
3y+=+-x%2B2 Now add x to both sides.
x%2B3y+=+2 This is now in standard form.
