You can put this solution on YOUR website!

A piggy bank contains 30+coins ,all nickels n and dimes d.
so, n%2Bd=30
if there are 4 times as many nickels as dimes, then 4n=d
substitute in n%2Bd=30
n%2B4n=30....solve for n
5n=30
n=30%2F5
n=6
find dimes
4%2A6=d
d=24
the total value of the coins: where nickel n=5 cents and dime d=10 cents
24%2A10%2B6%2A5=240%2B30=270 cents
