:
Convert to yards:
1.094 * 5 = 5.47
1.094 * 8 = 8.752
then
2(5.47) * 2(8.752) = 28.444 yds is the perimeter, (28 yds 16 inches)
:
Find the area in square inches
5.47 * 8.752 * 36 * 36 = 62044 sq/inches
:
Each tile is 8*8 = 64 sq/inches
therefore
62044/64 = approx 970 tiles required
