You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The average of four numbers is 4x+3. If one of the numbers is x, what is the average of the other three numbers?
***
4(4x+3)=16x+12=total of 4 numbers
16x+12-x=15x+12=total of other 3 numbers
(15x+12)/3=5x+4=average of the 3 numbers
