Multiply (1) by 400
400x + 400y = 300000....3
750x + 400y = 380850....2
Subtract (3) from (2)
350x = 80850
x = 231
Substitute x = 231 in

x + y = 750
231 + y = 750
y = 750 - 231
y = 519
