Find the x-intercepts:
y+=+x%5E2+%2B+x+-+6 Since the x-intercepts occur at y = 0, set the equation to zero and solve for the x's.
x%5E2%2Bx-6+=+0 This can be factored.
%28x-2%29%28x%2B3%29+=+0, so
x = 2 and x = -3
