Question 756976: This can be factored as:
(2sinx+?)(sinx+?)=0
Solve the equation: 2sin^2x+7x-4=0
Can someone help me understand this question?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2sin^2x + 7sinx - 4 = 0
would factor to:-
(2sinx - 1)(sinx + 4)= 0
Therefore sin (x) = 1/2
x = 30 degrees, 150 degrees
x = pi/6 , 5pi/6
OR
sin (x) = -4 (No answer)
Hope this helps.
