or the eqn can be rewritten as y=x/2-1/6 of the form y=mx+c
so the slope is m=1/2
the reqd line is perpemndicular to the given line
so the slope=-1/m=-2
the point is (1/2,-2/5)
so the reqd eqn is [y-(-2/5)]/[x-1/2]=-2
or [y+2/5]=-2=-2x+1
or 5y+2=-10x+5
or 5y+10x=3
