A for Anna

Anna seems to be older than Pete.
A-P=14+
and
%28A-6%29=2%28P-6%29
That is the system initially.

A-6=2P-12
A-2P=6-12
A-2P=-6
A=2P-6

Substitute the A in the first equation to solve for P, although this is not the only method you may use.
(2P-6)-P=14
2P-6-P=14
P-6=14
P=8, so A=6
